The Transport Company

Major problems
The specific character of the transportation industry consists in long and far routes. The transport of goods is done using truck vehicles, tractors with various type semi-trailers, refrigerator trucks, tautliners. Heavy competition in the market forces lowering the costs of transport. Certainly, the major cost-generating factor is fuel. The possibility of reducing the fuel consumption, reducing the theft, will enable saving additional resources, which we can invest, e.g. in buying more advanced vehicles, etc.
Settling the routes taking into consideration the kilometrage, driver’s work time, time spent abroad, amount of fuel consumed, location of vehicles is not easy. There is the ever-present question as to whether the vehicle would be in time?

The solution is the Fleet Management System

The recorder installed in the truck tractor will record the change of the position of the vehicle and enables displaying the location on a vector map. The location of the entire fleet will be visible on screen of a single computer. In addition, a fuel tank probe can be used, enabling the precise control of fuel level in the tank. Registering all the fuelling and fuel damping and the system itself calculates the average fuel consumption.

Benefits
Effective reduction of costs related to fuel. The fact is that strict control of the resources (in this case fuel) promotes economical use and enables discovering all the nonconformities at the line receipt-fuel tank-invoice.
Higher quality of the services provided, thanks to lower demurrage. And all this thanks to reliable information available on the position of the vehicle in time.
Reducing administration costs. Settling the transportation service is fast and convenient. All the data from the route is presented in configurable reports. Therefore, a single person can settle more transportation services.
